It's Mow Time!
Something about the sound and smell of mowing a lawn tells me it's summer! Our family loves spending time outside working and playing together.

Adelle's 3rd Birthday
Dave and Amber came to visit for a day, so we of course had a dinner and soccer game at our house. We have so much fun together. Dave went back to San Antonio, but Amber, Jorja, Adelle, and Luke are here for a week and a half YEA! We celebrated Adelle's birthday with a bbq and of course another soccer game. So fun! Grammy had all but two grandchildren here, so we had to get a pic.

Mr. Mischief
Drew gets a nagging urge to climb on top of the fridge - which he knows he's not supposed to do. I saw him inching up the banister so I tried to distract him by saying "Drew lets go have a rest time, mommy needs a nap too." Using his usual loads of expression he says "its otay mom, you go on ahead, I'll catch up wif ya later." He has me wrapped around his finger.

Little Rick - Little Chad
Paytinn Webster came to play yesturday. She and Gracie always have so much fun together. I think it's cute how they both look so much like their daddies! I've been friends with her parents for years so having girls the same age and who are so much alike is fun. They filled me in on all the latest Myllie Cyrus and Nick Jonahs news and the many girls Zac Efron has to choose from. Oh the drama! They did take a break from singing along with Taylor Swift to help Em with a school project and climb trees. They are all really sweet girls, I like having them around.

Highlights January - March 2008
Em and I had a girls gettaway to San Antonio to visit Amber and Dave's Fam. Rick was so wonderful to take care of everything while I was gone. He knew how badly I needed time with my sis and a break from the tundra. Gracie decided she would just stay home, but had second thoughts when it was too late. Em and I missed her and our boys like crazy, but had a nice vacation. Day 1 was power shopping @ the Tanger Outlets. My second time there and still fav shopping destination. The girls entertained themselves and Amb and I were so in the zone we weren't even embarassed at obvious eye rolling as our girls created their own musical using store displays for sets and props. Nothing like a full day of shopping with a sis. Day 2 was Amber's b-day. We tried our best to spoil her and make her day great. I made a carrot cake her request and we all went out to La Madeline's for dinner. Very yummy and very french. Day 3 was the lake. The weather was perfect (high 70's - 80's). Just feeling the warm/hot sun on my skin was rejuvination enough to face the rest of our ID winter. I mostly enjoyed just being with my sister and her darling family.

Benjamin!
Gracie, Em, and Drew hold Nic and Rob's first baby,Benjamin for the first time and are instantly obsessed. For days after Drew askes "mom, when can we go visit Venchamin." The girls love holding him and get excited at the thought of babysitting him.

I helped in Drew's preschool on Friday. Drew loved the sensory table with dirt and worms (real and alive). He dangled one in front of me and said "c'mon mom they don't even have teeth mom, they won't hurt you." I told him it was the yuck factor and he came back with "c'mon mom, Hayden (Ferney)'s mom does it, she holds worms, I saw her." Trying not to giggle, I asked "when have you seen Hayden's mom hold a worm?" A quick glance to the side then "on Saturday." He's a nut
